Important – Please Read the Terms & Conditions Carefully

  • Medical Insurance
All participants are responsible for arranging their own travel insurance that covers mountain biking, extreme sports, and emergency evacuation.
  • Booking & Payments
Your place on a trip is confirmed only after your deposit has been received.

If you're sure you'd like to join, I recommend booking as early as possible, as group sizes are limited.

The remaining balance must be paid before the trip begins (for day rides, payment can be made on the morning of the ride).

Payments are non-refundable, except in rare circumstances.

If you find another rider to take your place, your payment will be refunded.

Unfortunately, injury or illness does not qualify for a refund.
  • Choosing the Right Ride Level
Every trip has a recommended riding level. Please make sure your skills match the level of the trip.

If your riding ability is significantly below the required level, you may not be able to continue riding with the group, and your payment will not be refunded.

Almost every trip may include one or two sections that are more difficult than the advertised level. That's completely normal—sometimes the safest option is simply to walk a short section.

If you're unsure whether a trip is right for you, please contact me before booking.

    Trail Difficulty

The difficulty levels on this website follow Trailforks ratings, not bike park ratings.

We ride natural singletrack. Blue, red, and black trails on Trailforks are generally much more technical than trails with the same color rating in bike parks.

    Riding Levels:

    Green

    Previous experience riding natural trails.
Comfortable riding standing up (not seated all the time).
Ideally, at least a few coaching sessions.
Sufficient fitness to complete the route.

    Blue

Confident on most blue Trailforks trails.
Comfortable attempting easier red trails, even if some sections need to be walked.

    Blue +

    Comfortable on all blue trails.
Able to ride easier red trails while walking only the most difficult sections.
Good judgment about when to ride and when it's safer to get off the bike.

    Red

    Confident on red trails.
Comfortable riding steep, exposed, loose, rocky, or slippery terrain.
Able to accurately judge your own limits and walk any section beyond your ability.

  • Mechanical Problems
We'll always do our best to solve mechanical issues on the trail.

However, if a repair cannot be completed quickly, the priority is keeping the group moving. Unfortunately, this may mean that the affected rider misses part of the ride or even an entire day.

Mountain bikes break—everyone understands that—but one mechanical issue shouldn't prevent the rest of the group from enjoying their trip.
  • E-bike Battery Management
You are responsible for knowing the range of your own bike.

I'll provide the expected climbing and distance for each ride, but only you know how long your battery lasts.

Please make sure your battery is fully charged every morning and plan your battery usage accordingly.
  • Strava & Ride Logs
I'd really appreciate it if you kept your ride recordings private.

This is common practice among many MTB guides in Europe, and there are several reasons for it.

All of these trails can already be found on maps if someone wants to ride them independently. Before many trips, I spend time checking trail conditions and making sure everything is still rideable, so a lot of work goes into planning these routes.

There's another reason as well: some of our routes occasionally pass through areas that aren't officially intended for mountain biking.

Let's keep those adventures between us. 🙂
